Sunshine Hervantajärvi will open its doors on August 10, 2026. The new early education unit will provide places for children aged 9 months to 6 years.

  • The daycare will offer early childhood education in both English and Finnish.
  • The new unit is located in the Hervantajärvi area, next to Joutsenpuisto.
  • The building will be constructed of log wood, a material that not only creates a warm and cozy atmosphere but has also been shown to support excellent indoor air quality.

Children learn English in an international environment

At Sunshine ELC, the learning environment is international. Our teaching programme aims to give children the best possible foundation for continued learning at primary school. Children do not need any previous experience with English to join our groups. We also provide Finnish as a second language for children whose mother tongue is not Finnish.

Children learn English through everyday activities such as singing, rhyming, playing, creating art and exploring. There are always Finnish speaking staff members present in our daycare centres.

A high-quality building with a well-equipped playground

The building is designed so that each group has its own classroom, along with dedicated rooms for small group activities and a gym for physical education and play. Outdoors, children will enjoy their own well-equipped playground.

Hervantajärvi is a growing area on the south side of Hervanta. The surrounding nature and forests offer wonderful opportunities for exploration and learning.

Customer fee

  • Sunshine Hervantajärvi will operate as a service voucher unit with fees subsidized by the City of Tampere.
  • The customer fee per child will range from €20 to €355 per month.
