Sunshine Hervanta
Sähkökatu 4
The facilities in our early education Centre in Hervanta invite the children to play and learn. We have a vast amount of space available inside for creating variable learning environments and areas for physical activity. Outside we have a large well-equipped playground area attached to the daycare and kindergarten building.
ABOUT
Sunshine Hervanta
Sunshine Hervanta was opened in a newly renovated building in Sähkökatu, South Hervanta in March 2020. The location is very easy to reach with bus stops and tramline nearby. Hervanta is a vibrant and multicultural part of Tampere city and a base for many international technology companies along with a university campus. Although Hervanta is almost like a small city of its own, it also has wonderful opportunities for outdoor activities with forests around the area.
In this early education centre we have three groups for a total of 54 children, aged 1 – 5 years.
In our daily activities the children are divided into small groups. The daily programme is a pedagogically orientated combination of structure and free play. Children’s ideas, interests and developmental needs guide the planning of the days. Music and singing, rhyming and stories are a part of every day at Sunshine.
We encourage parents and guardians to give us feedback, share their ideas and also to take part in our activities in Sunshine Hervanta.
ABOUT
Welcoming atmosphere
In our daily activities the children are normally divided into small groups. Children’s ideas, interests and developmental needs guide the planning of the days. Music and singing, rhyming and stories are a part of every day at Sunshine. The groups also go out to play at the nearby playgrounds daily.
We encourage the parents and guardians to give us feedback, share their ideas and also to take part in our activities. We have had parents visiting us to tell the children about the culture of their home country or to read stories to the children. Sometimes we have also been invited for a visit to a parent’s workplace. The welcoming atmosphere in our early educations centres brings together families and cultures from all over the world.
